Cristos anesti!!!
"Cristos anesti" means "Christ is risen " in Greek.
You say it to wish someone "Happy Easter".
But I can't spell it in Greek.
In the Greek Orthodox faith, Easter eggs
are alway red to symbolize the Blood of Christ.
The egg symbolizes new life.
So, the red egg is the symbol of new life
given to us by Christ's sacrifice on the cross and His resurection.
These graphics are dedicated to my
grandfather,
Estelios (Steve) Marinakis
originally from Skordalou, Crete, Greece
18?? to October 29, 1973
He was born under Turkish rule
no records exist of his birth.
He never really knew how old he was.
The music playing is "Never on Sunday".
Chosen because my grandfather
was fond of Melina Meccurri.
